'The Far East is the region that people are talking and thinking about more and more in western Russia and abroad,' he said. 'And not just as an appendage rich in raw materials, not only as a region of mega-projects and great expectations.
'Here live and work unique people - artists, writers, musicians. I would like people learn about us, not only as a province of bears and gold. And if so, then we need to find a decent frame for this wealth.'
This week it was announced that his designs will go on display in the permanent exhibition of the Hermitage Museum.

'They spotted me in Yekaterinburg, at an exhibition in the State Stone-cutting and Jewellery History Museum. The representative from the Hermitage came to me and offered cooperation after seeing my work.
'So I can say I got into the eternity - because my works will be on permanent display. In general, as far as I know, they choose original work - the Hermitage needs creativity.'
