So many good things are going on here, but often we don't get our message across.

Krasnoyarsk is an exception to this.

We're currently running a story on how Krasnoyarsk is taking on Canadian and Swiss rivals to host the World Winter Student Games in 2019.

For a long time, Russians have known about the sporting pedigree of Krasnoyarsk, but maybe this is not widely known around the globe.

'The next step for us is to take advantage of this right and to convince everyone that we are the best and have every opportunity to organise an event with such a big level', said Lev Kuznetsov, the governor of Krasnoyarsk.

Whether or not Krasnoyarsk win the right to host the games - also known as the Universiade-2019 - the campaign will promote the city and region on the world stage.

The advantages from this will be more people knowing about the business and tourist potential of one of Siberia's gems.

So congratulations to governor Kuznetsov, and to the Krasnoyarsk minister of sports, tourism and youth policy, Sergei Gorov, who has outlined an ambition plan for  boosting sports facilities.

We're ready and willing to highlight Kransnoyarsk's campaign in English and wish them every success to bring the Universiade-2019 to the banks of the Yenisei.
