Polar bear in a tangle on Wrangel when it comes scavenging for food

He is speaking Russian so this is the wrangle island that is a part of Russia Just North of Russia a few miles off the coast. I've seen this before they get a big stick 2 by 4 that's 6or 8' long and they Chase the bears with it. Usually there was a dog involved as well. If you're living in bare country you definitely need a dog to be with you.

This article poves that both human and wild life can successfully cohabit when the general public are properly educated and show no fear, in responding to any threat. In both cases the parties involved are simply protecting their territory and have the right to do so without killing or cruel methods.

There was an awful case of unnessary cruelty to a polar bear in 2016, on this Island which is also a nature reserve and the Russian Authorities severely punished the perpetrator.

Unfortunately due to all the various factors influencing wild life behaviour, there will be more and more cohabitaion necessary for all species to survive.

Polar bears amongst others like the Siberian Tiger are endangered species and are protected in Russia.

Again there are five islands in the world that are all named after the same person who served as an Admiral in the Russian Navy. Three of these islands are in Alaska. One of these three is this one. The United States Board on Geographic Names by resolution of 29 July 1901 set the spelling of all three Alaska “Wrangell” Islands. By that spelling we call these islands. Spell the name as “Wrangel” (sic.) is just a spelling error. This islands former name is New Columbia Land”. This island was added to the District of Alaska on 17 May 1884 by the Alaska Board of the United States Department of the Treasury.

There are three Wrangell Islands in Alaska. All are spelled as “Wrangell”. There are five Wrangell Islands In the world.

It was on December 17, 1883, that US Senator Benj. Harrison express the desire to attorney Major Ezra W. Clark, Jr. that he want that Wrangell Island which was also known as New Columbia Land to be added to Alaska. That was
done on May 17, 1884.

Wrangell island in Alaska is down in the panhandle of Alaska.Way too far down south for any polar bear to be.

It was on 12 August 1881 that New Columbia Land was annexed by the United States Government. That name was changed to Wrangell Island on 29 July 1901 by the United States Board on Geographic Names. Wrangell Island was added to the District of Alaska on 17 May 1884, under the terms of the “Harrison Alaska Organic Act” as “territory known as a Alaska” by the Alaska Board of the United States Department of the Treasury. On 1 April 1924
the owner of Wrangell Island was the “Lomen Brothers Company” of Nome, Alaska. Also on 1 April 1924, Della Adams was born on Wrangell Island.
