History teacher, 26, lost her job at number 7 city school after pictures of the shoot were posted by a model agency.
Parents saw the pictures and complained to the school superiors, who concluded that Viktoria let down her students and colleagues.
‘Viktoria Popova caused irreversible damage to the reputation of the teacher’, Omsk city hall official said.
Viktoria tried to fight back by saying the shoot aimed to emulate American 1950s pin-up style, and was model, but was asked to leave the school.
Her dismissal caused outrage on social media and among fellow teachers.
Omsk online community called Education Ombudsmen uniting more than 11,000 education professionals started #TeachersAreHumansToo flashmob.
Teachers from Omsk and other cities in Western Siberia and Russia post their holiday snaps, dressed in either swimsuits or light summer clothes.
The group admin said: ‘With this flashmob we want to support Viktoria from Omsk, who was fired for swimsuit photoshoot. It was not in any way indecent or intimate, it was just an ordinary set of pictures.
‘It is time to understand that teachers are humans, too, who have the same right to rest as other citizens. We want public to realize there is a problem with unfair scrutiny over teacher’s private, personal life which they have a right to have just like everyone else.
‘We are asking every teacher to join our flashmob in support of Viktoria so that we bring more attention to this case.'

At the last count, some 3,500 pictures of relaxed and playful male and female teachers from all over Russia had been posted so far.
A teacher called Ivan Zubkov posted a shot of himself and family jumping our of a wave, which he captioned: ‘This is how we’ll be breaking free when hit by waves of misunderstanding and idiocy.’
